Absolute interferometric test of cylindrical wavefront with a fiber optic
نویسندگان
چکیده
A method of absolute testing of a cylindrical wavefront is presented. The method is a merging of the random ball test method with the fiber optic reference test. The random ball test assumes a large number of interferograms of a good quality sphere with errors that are statistically distributed such that the average of the errors goes to zero. The fiber optic reference test utilizes a specially processed optical fiber to provide a high quality reference wave from an incident line focus from the cylindrical wave under test. A simulation and preliminary experiment results are presented which indicate that this method can significantly reduce the effects of fiber surface errors, yielding more accurate cylindrical wave measurements. © The Authors. Modeling of Distributed Sensing of Elastic Waves by Fiber-Optic Interferometry
This paper deals with the transduction of strain accompanying elastic waves in solids by firmly attached optical fibers. Stretching sections of optical fibers changes the time required by guided light to pass such sections. Exploiting interferometric techniques, highly sensitive fiber-optic strain transducers are feasible based on this fiber-intrinsic effect. The impact on the actual strain con...

Acousto-optic deflectors (AODs) arranged in series and driven with linearly chirped frequencies can rapidly focus and tilt optical wavefronts, enabling high-speed 3D random access microscopy. Non-linearly chirped acoustic drive frequencies can also be used to shape the optical wavefront allowing a range of higher-order aberrations to be generated. However, to date, wavefront shaping with AODs h...

In this paper, we introduced a new fiber-optic temperature sensor with white light interferometric principle based on Fabry-Perot, which is capable of providing measurement for the temperature of greenhouse. The signal processing of system is that the optical signal wavelength is modulated in the Fabry-Perot cavity and is demodulated during the optical-electricity transform. Compared with a com...
